CoCo Yachts enters cruise market China with her Coastal Explorer 350
With great pride, CoCo Yachts can announce to enter the Chinese Cruise market with her new designed catamaran, a Coastal Explorer 350 – Hybrid.
Shenzhen Xunlong Shipping Co. Ltd of Shenzhen (China) gave CoCo Yachts the opportunity to develop and design a modern 350 passenger day cruise Coastal Explorer. The vessel will be built by China Merchants Cruise Shipbuilding Co., Ltd of Haimen (China), and will be named “View On Shenzhen From the Sea”.
The vessel will feature stunning lounges at all decks, a large theatre, several private rooms, a museum, a ship simulator for educational purposes and a beautiful shopping area.
Henk van Herwijnen, General Manager of CoCo Yachts, explains how the new ship will reveal a new era of cruising luxury for the guests of Shenzhen Xunlong Shipping. “I am delighted to announce that we were able to use our experience to design a vessel for those guests who want a luxurious, boutique cruise experience. The development of this vessel embodies a new step in the future of cruising and the onboard experience will ensure that the guests have a unique experience.”
From the start the View On Shenzhen From the Sea will be sailing in the Pearl River Delta area. As the vessel is compliant with China Classification Society Rules for Classification of sea going steel ships 2018 and China MSA, other routes will be developed in future by Shenzhen Xunlong Shipping.
The vessel has a length over all of 71.88 meters, a beam over all of 19.26 meters and a maximum draft of 2.55 meters. The vessel will have a cruising speed of 14 knots, using 2 x MTU16V4000M23S engines at 2 x 1340 ekW. Azimuth thrusters of Veth Propulsion, 2 x VL-1250i-CR, will be installed using two propellers per thruster.
